Employee Spotlight: Ken Lycos, Network Operations Center Technician

Providence Consulting is proud to announce our newest team member, Ken Lycos! For those who are wondering, Ken is not related to the founder of search engine Lycos, although he has been involved with computers since he was young. As a member of our Network Operations Center Services (NOC) team, Ken is helping solve client related technical issues every day. If you or your staff have called into our help desk recently, you may have already interacted with him.

Before joining Providence in November of 2016, Ken worked in the automotive industry. He started out in assembly/distribution and then moved into CNC machinery technologies. Ken’s passion for helping people, and his love of computers eventually led him to go back to school to work on his IT degree.

“My goal is to solve customer technical issues as quickly as possible without impeding the client’s work flow” says Ken. He gets satisfaction knowing that he helped make our client’s business operation more reliable and secure. “Helping to protect an organization’s data is something which is both challenging and satisfying to me.”

When Ken isn’t solving IT problems, he enjoys strolling with his wife and 10-month old daughter, and relaxing with the little one watching a good episode of Peppa Pig. Ken currently resides in Jackson, but is looking to relocate to the Lansing area.
