Providence Consulting is proud to announce that President and “Chief Problem Solver” Jeff Dettloff was recently voted to the office of 2011-2012 President of the Capital Area IT Council.

The Capital Area IT Council is a Michigan Regional Skills Alliance (MI RSA) that was formed to address the specific workforce development challenges facing the Lansing area information technology industry. Employer led and directed, the Capital Area IT Council is a coalition of industry, education, economic development, and government partners committed to identifying, developing, and implementing real solutions for improving the quantity and quality of IT professionals in our region.

As a founding member of the Capital Area IT Council, Mr. Dettloff is thrilled to have the opportunity to take the helm.

“I wish to acknowledge and thank outgoing President Bil Moore for his two years of service in that role,” says Dettloff, “and also Chris Knapp for his ongoing service as the CATIC Executive Director. Both have had and will continue to have a tremendous positive impact on Greater Lansing’s IT workforce.”

Jeff founded Providence, a Lansing IT consulting firm, in 2004 with the goal of Making Technology Easier for area businesses and organizations. Starting as a one-man business, Jeff has steadily grown the company through a customer-first approach and superior service. Outside of the office, Jeff invests his free time giving back to the community through service in the Rotary Club of Lansing, and as an active member of Lansing’s Mount Hope Church.
